Twin win for Hamilton at Dundee United
Three points and off the bottom for the Accies

Tannadice is a tricky place to visit, especially with United’s recent form but Hamilton Academicals have given United a tough test in virtually all of their matches since the Lanarkshire team got back into the top flight.
Hamilton knew with Killie and Falkirk playing, something would give in that match and anything picked up on Tayside would give them a great boost.
The game was done and dusted in the first 45 minutes with a Paixao grabbing a goal apiece.
The opener was nabbed by Flavio, who rifled his shot into the top corner midway through the first half. Goals change games and this would have flooded the Hamilton team with confidence but no doubt, Billy Reid would have been happy to get to half-time with a 1-0 lead.
It didn’t remain at 1-0.
The lead was doubled and it was the other Paixao, Marco tucking away a rebound after Pernis saved his original header.
2-0 is no longer a lead that is insurmountable for any team but Hamilton kept United at bay in the second half and with Kilmarnock defeating Falkirk, the Accies were no longer on the bottom of the league.
Falkirk are now three points adrift at the foot of the table whilst Hamilton are currently just the one point behind St Mirren.
There are bound to be many more twists and turns in the fight against relegation to come but the Accies should take a great deal of confidence from this result.
