SPL: Stats Entertainment – Celtic v Rangers
Rangers know how to find the net
The good (??) people at WeKnowSFA have a few positive aspects about them…but they are dull.
Their love for Excel is almost at the level of their love for football, so as you can imagine, they’re an absolute wow with the ladies! Or maybe not.
Thankfully though, this leaves them with plenty of time to analyse games and the big issue at the moment is how wasteful Celtic are in front of goal.
On paper, with Celtic at home to Hamilton and Rangers away to Hibs, the Hoops should have been outscoring their bitter rivals. Not a chance.
The tables below show some of the breakdowns of the game, including the shots on and off target.

Celtic scored with less than 10% of all of their chances whereas Rangers scored with nearly 50% of theirs.
With the Celtic backline being shaky, Rangers will go to Celtic Park very confident of scoring. Even if they are unable to create a lot of chances, their ratio of taking chances makes them the far more likely team to score when a match is tight.
Can the Celtic strike-force rediscover their finishing touch?
