Ross County miss out on pre Cup Final getaway

by WeKnowSFA

Bloody ash!

The volcanic ash clouds have been playing havoc with so many holiday makers and business people and today, it has disrupted the Scottish Cup final preparations for Ross County.

The Highlands side were booked up for a getaway in Marbella to start honing themselves for the Hampden final on Saturday 15th of May but one hour into their journey south, the club were informed the flight would not take place.

It is obviously a huge disappointment for the 20 strong party that were hoping to get away and relax before the tension starts to build. The impact that the volcanic ash has had has been huge and although County have been badly affected, their plight pales when compared to the impact on the ordinary people who have lost a lot of money through it.

That said, this should not derail the County bandwagon for the Cup final with over a week to go to their big day.

We’ve been doing our bit for the preparations and have a couple of Ross County cup final t-shirts available in the WeKnowSFA store. After all, we have some Dundee United ones in stock, so we have to provide something for everyone.

And yes, we know that the “dancing in the streets of Ross” comment isn’t strictly true, it’s a little pun on the now famous quote about Raith Rovers. Hold on, Raith Rovers….cup final…against a top flight team…..there could be a little omen for Ross County in that?

The Ross county players will no doubt be hoping for a little bit more luck at Hampden than they have had today.

Can Ross County win the cup?
