The one above is from the snspix.com website, you can clearly see the watermark. I doubt he was in two Scottish airports today.

Danny is quite correct to say that “whats the point, every player gets a medical” because that is true, any signing would be thoroughly checked out for any defects, so in that sense, it isnt really news.

However, as JohnPaul7 and AnkaBhoy have pointed out, the players medical history indicates it is something that needs attention.

Players can get injured at any time so a medical can be pointless at times – you could sign a player in perfect health and then they could get crocked in their first game.

However, as Celtic are said to be offering Rasmussen a three and a half year deal, Celtic need to be certain the ligament is in good working order and can withstand a few years of hard service.

I don`t think it`s a stupid article at all Danny. Rasmussen suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury, which kept him out for nearly a year, although it appears he`s fully recovered. Have you forgotten about John Kennedy?, because this injury can sometimes finish a player`s career. The writer is correct in saying particular attention will be paid to the player`s knee during his medical, and to be quite honest will have to be, for insurance purposes for a start. It`s far from the first time i`ve known of a prospective signing having to undergo stringent tests on a particular part of his body during a medical, and far more common than you may think. Let`s just hope he`s 100% ok, and starts banging in the goals!.

Not every player would have a history of knee ligament damage. I think it is worth pointing this out and that it is looked at thoroughly. We don’t want to be buying a dud and the last thing we need is a non-player getting paid mega bucks to sit out injured or otherwise. Every club including Bronby would try to off-load a player with a potential weak knee if they could get away with it. Medicals might be stating the obvious Dannybhoy but in this case the previously damaged knee does add a bit of a story, and we as fans would be the first to come down on the club if he wasn’t signed, and be blaming the medical as just an excuse not to spend. Puts a bit of pressure on the doctors though doesn’t it?
