It was a tongue in cheek post Quagmire - just a way of bringing in a match report for a game that offered so little.

A draw is always better than a defeat but you get the feeling if it was a league match, Rangers would have found an extra spark to get the win. No reason for other than main motivation.

As you say, it is a costly one for the fans.

Get a grip here lads, do you honestly think Walter and co wanted another game in February with an already stretched squad of players struggling to find their sparkling December form?

It was a draw because both teams were rank, St Mirren played a long ball game to no effect, Rangers tried to break down a resolute St Mirren midfield and defence, but had no pace or guile to do so.

The only ones that lose out here are the fans, that will be another £20 of my credit card for the midweek replay that Rangers will win about 3-0.

Mr Ed - The figure that Rangers are reducing is £1M per annum off the overdraft facility, which has already been done this year. The £3M payment may indeed be due to LBG but probably from the Murray empire.

Every penny is a prisoner - it could be vital Danny.

Especially with the rumours about missing the £3m payment to Lloyds and the wage cap for next season.

if its televised how much wiil that bring in 100,000pounds tops & i am being generous with that figure also if televised crowd goes down these extra funds from this game will have little impact on Rangers fnancial situation.

Getting the replay televised will provide an additional wedge to add to the fund.

After all, every little helps!

wont generate that much cash ,the funds from the game are split 50/50 after overheads doubt there will be anymore than 25,000 there its a well known fact that Celtic/Rangers generally run @ a los in both Scottish & league Cups.

Heard a rumour last night that Murray International or whatever moniker they trade under these days are three months away from administration.

Anybody heard much about this?

The six month delay in publishing their accounts is causing real problems for any takeover bids. The banks are finding it real hard to untangle the many Murray companies and their interweaving assets.
