Rangers look to move seven points clear
Champions can extend their lead at the top

The majority of the SPL calendar this midweek has been wiped out because of the cold weather but you can guarantee that everyone at Ibrox will be working hard to ensure the game versus Dundee United goes ahead.
Rangers have been on a hot streak of late, so the cold weather hasnt affected those of a Royal blue persuasion and with Celtic cooling their heroes rather than going to Kilmarnock, Rangers can go seven points clear before New Year.
This is particularly relevant given the Gers head to Celtic Park on Sunday.
The run of form that Rangers are on at the moment means they will go to Parkhead with no fear but extending their lead at the top should see them in fine fettle for the run in.
If they win, they go ten points clear and the odds on them retaining their title will be slashed.
If they lose, they still have daylight at the top of the league but they will know they are in for a battle.
A draw won’t change much, leaving the leaders still sitting pretty.
These outcomes are obviously dependent on a home win tonight but it is in football fan’s nature to look ahead and this will be the spur for Rangers against Dundee United.
Rangers have the same squad available as destroyed Hibs at Easter Road on Sunday, although Rangers are unlikely to be the benefits of such poor defending for two games in a row.
Or maybe they will as Dundee United try to regroup without Craig Levein at the helm.
United will also be without Andy Webster, who is ineligible for this match due to the terms of his loan agreement.
It is hard to see anything other than a home win at Ibrox which will see Rangers go seven clear at the top of the SPL.
Any chance of United springing an upset?
