Rangers head back to Hamilton

Patched up team for the champions

WeKnowSFA - Glasgow Rangers

It is less than a week since Hamilton last played Rangers and of course, they will be squaring off this midweek too, so today’s game is the middle match of a Hamilton triple for Rangers fans.

It may not quite be the Empire Strikes Back but if the amount of goals and incidents from last Sunday’s match can be replicated, no one will really complain about this attack of the clones.

And oddly enough, some of the Rangers stars are in the Wars (right, thats enough of that!) meaning there will be a few changes for Walter Smith to make to the starting line-up.

Kris Boyd is recovering from an operation and Kenny Miller is suspended.

This will see an entirely different striking line-up for Smith with Kyle Lafferty likely to get the nod up front. The lanky Irishman has been in the news of late and will probably be looking forward to getting back on to the football field.

Madjid Bougherra is still in Angola and Lee McCulloch is supended. Rangers have doubts over Nacho Novo and Steve Davis but it is likely that one, if not both, will be available for today’s clash.

Hamilton were in action during the week and went down 1-0 to Dundee United. James Wesolowski will miss out today after picking up a hamstring injury but new signing David van Zanten could make his debut.

With the chance to go ten points clear, Rangers have every motivation they need to get past Hamilton.
