We can only but wait to see what Ellis grand plan is, there is a rake of spare ground outside of Ibrox (hinshelwood) at the front of the stadium thats earmarked for redevelopment. GCC have already indicated that they will not hold anyone to ransom over the land if they are looking to provide jobs and facilities etc. With the mans background in property, this may or may not be his angle, neither here or there at the moment but glad that there is at least something happening regarding the clubs future.

As for the Keane part, his weekly salary is £90K at spurs and after being hawked around the Premiership for a loan deal on those terms, no-one took up the chance of signing the messiah, so attentions were turned to Celtic at the late stage. I have no doubt that Spurs will be paying part of the wage, but can't see it being as much that would allow Celtic to only be paying £30K.

Imagine if the board of the PLC had supported wee Chesney to the same extent as they did Mowbray, in the Jan 09 window. A capture of Keane then, or even Fletcher most probably would have been enough to retain the title and deny Rangers the Champions League bounty that most certaiunlt allowed to prevent a fire sale of first team players, the same players (Mendes apart) who have taken a huge step to secure this years SPL title and the Champions league bounty that comes with it.

Celtic may look at Mowbray, Strachan, Referee's or the ludicrous notion of the 'Establishment' for the state they find themselves in right now, the real culprits are the three stooges. Liewell, Popeye & Joseph Fritzl.

Good to see Hulk Hogan sticking around and giving his opinions on the Scottish game.

.....

Anyhoos, there were a few rumours surfacing at the weekend that Celtic are only footing £30,000 of Keanes wages per week.

Not that this makes finishing second much easier for Hoops fans but given that Scott McDonald was offloaded, it shouldn't have created too much of a dent in the PLC budget.

Then again, maybe thats just spin being spun to lessen the blow of the current scenario for Celtic fans.

As always, the stance on it will depend entirely on your own personal viewpoint.

To paraphrase Martin O'Neill slightly - "Northampton Town are undoubtedly the benchmark we have to emulate".

I wonder if he will bring the money with him to build Minty's fabled Ibrox disneyland?
