Ra Ra Rasmussen a hit with Celtic and Danish fans
Danish websites take an interest in the new Celtic hitman

It has been understandable that all of the focus of Celtic fans and international interest has been about Robbie Keane and Ireland. The player is without doubt a cut above the average SPL player but his loan signing has been as much about the commercial spin-offs as it has been about the player’s ability.
Then again, Tony Mowbray and Peter Lawell should both be happy about the impact the Irishman can have.
The past day has seen a buzz around another new signing though.
Diomansay Kamara looked impressive against Dunfermline, Braafheid made a solid start at left-back but Danish striker Morten Rasmussen has captured the attention of Celtic fans and his media back home.
Rasmussen may be the penalty box striker that Celtic have been crying out for and the player has two goals to his name, in only one start. He was also heavily involved in Celtic’s third goal against Dunfermline, his pressure forcing Callum Woods to place the ball into his own net.
Avisen is a Danish newspaper and their story focuses on the instant impact the striker has made and another new nickname for the player.
Avisen story about ‘Duncan’ Rasmussen
The obvious story about Rasmussen before he arrived centred on his nickname of Duncan, after Duncan Ferguson, so you can see the angle for Celtic fans! It turns out that the player was also previously nicknamed ‘Mini’, an ironic nickname given his height.
The paper picks up on the Ra Ra Rasmussen nickname but possibly picks up the wrong influence for the nickname. The spectre of Boney M (and a little bit of Lady Gaga) hangs high over the origins of the strikers nickname.
Regardless of this, the story has certainly caught the attention and WeKnowSFA hopes to have played a small part in the article. A link to the Rasmussen products in the newly launched WeKnowSFA store can be found in the Avisen article.
A google translation of the Avisen front page offers this insight to its readers:
With all of the focus on Robbie Keane, Rasmussen may be able to make the difference in the box for Celtic but will it be enough to turn the SPL title race.
Are you impressed with Rasmussen so far?

If we’d beaten Kilmarnock last Tuesday I’d say we would win the league, but the truth is we gave ourselves a bigger mountain by losing to one of the worst teams in the league. We are getting consistent though. We have already lost to the worst Hearts team in a million years, twice! We also lost to Hibs and Dundee Utd after totally dominating them, threw points to Rangers, after killing them, Falkirk, twice, after toying with them. Sorry, but this Celtic squad don’t have the “team” tag Rangers can boast.
There is no way anyone can look at the form this season so far and still hope Celtic will win the league.
There is definite hope that the team can go on a run….but they havent managed it so far – blind faith is one of the most important things that a football fan can carry with them.
The Killie game was an excellent opportunity to lay a marker for the rest of the season and build some momentum on the back of Keane’s signing but you feel as though it could be a defining night of the season.
I had blind faith in 79,81,86,& 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I lost the faith after the Killie game, then we beat Dunfermline and i have it back again.
Probably lose it again by the weekend.
MA HEID IS SPINNING.
Well Popes you will just need to light some candles & stop drinking the Alter wine that should stop your head spinning!!!!!!!!!!!!
KEEP THE FAITH, The darkside will come undone soon enough the SFA and the SPL cant help them now. The refs have had a good go at helping them the media what a joke.
THE FAITH IS BACK….
Last night i had a dream! (maybe a vision)
in it the unwashed drew with Motherwell and lost to Hibs.
Unfortunately Celtic did not appear in the dream/vision,
even God cant seem to predict what we’re going to do next.
popes your having bad dreams you need to leave the buckie alone . i dream when im awake a dreamt we were 10 points clear with our next game against ceptic at home where a draw siuits us very well . then in my dream we win our first silverwear of the year against st mirren. then win the league with four games to spair .then in my dream we go on to lift the scottish cup in may to win a treble in a very troublesome year for the gers , what a dream but just maybe it could be true and as for unwashed lol im just out the shower .
JAZRFC – Let’s do a deal,
I’ll lay off the buckie if you lay off the LSD.
Whats football without the dreams
The mood of most Celtic fans appear to be reminiscent of the Alpine range. St Johnstone had them in cloud cuckoo land, Hibs brought them back to ground again, Keane had half the football nation dreaming of world domination, Kilmarnock saw that distinguished very quickly! Dunfermline then gave the hooped hordes a huge fright before the Master Of The Universe scored a penalty and wait for it, created space that others could only dream of, eh??? Anyway another win has the majority of Celtic fans on the Keep The Faith bandwagon once more. Recent trends suggest that Hearts will once again piss on their parade, will Celtic reverse the up and down slide and actually win a game at home? To be fair Hearts are rank rotten at the moment, but a first division side managed two goals against that brittle defence, Hearts probably wont even play a striker, or maybe worse, they might play Christian Nade!!
As much as the poops will be dreaming of a win agains the Hearts, the most important game is Rangers at Motherwell, on a very dodgy pitch and a venue in which Rangers haven’t won for 2 years, this is definitely one of the games earmarked by Celtic fans for Rangers to lose some points, victory for Rangers will be a dagger in the hearts for Celtic.
should the unthinkable happen and Celtic fail to win at home again, well it’s the car-park again Declan!! And this time it wont be the 50,000 (Seville calculator) outside rejoicing at the most wonderful transfer deal in the history of the world (5 month loan deal ffs!!) It will be Mowbrays neck on the line.
I think you’ll find Celtic scored FOUR goals against the pars.
Why don’t you stick to the HUN pages you odious little man?
