Levein in the spotlight at Hamilton

Which young boss will be happier in Hamilton?

Every club manager needs a win but some games see extra pressure on them, really leaving them with a desire for three points.

Craig Levein has had such a week.

The 3-0 capitulation at the hands of Rangers was bad enough but the increased speculation over the Scotland job will cause many to wonder if it has affected him or his team’s performance.

WeKnowSFA examined Levein’s credentials for the Scotland post but a failure to win at Hamilton may do him a lot of damage.

Hamilton have managed a few good results over Dundee United over the past year or so and after recent wins over Hearts and Aberdeen, the Accies wont have any fear going into this match.

The fitness of goalkeeper Tomas Cerny will undergo a late fitness check after his injury at Pittodrie but Leon Knight is available for selection after his involvement in the handbags against Hearts.

Dundee United are able to add Andy Webster to their squad after he was unavailable versus Rangers and the teams performance on the night would suggest there is no problem with him walking back into the team.

Morgaro Gomis is banned whilst long-term injury victims Lee Wilkie and Sandaza are still unavailable for Levein.

Depending on results, a home win could see Hamilton break into the top six whereas a Dundee United could see the Arabs head into fourth place. Both of these outcomes are dependent on the score at Pittodrie between Aberdeen and Hibernian, so you can guarantee plenty of the crowd at New Douglas Park will be tuning into that game.

Can Craig Levein do his SFA hopes a favour?
