Killen to return to Hibs?
Is a striker at the top of Hibs wish-list?

Hibs have rightly received a lot of praise this season for their performances and what has caught the eye has been the attacking flair shown by the club.
Even though he was an uncompromising defender, boss John Hughes likes to see his club play football in an attractive manner and it has definitely won over much of the Easter Road faithful.
Anthony Stokes was brought in and a series of important goals has seen him as one of the main players for the Leith side’s assault at the top of the SPL.
Derek Riordan is always going to be referred to as a daft boy by many football fans but some of Hibs best goals this season have been plundered by the player. He may not have been able to prowl the clubs of Edinburgh in recent years but he has certainly left many SPL clubs fearing the sight of him.
Add to this the workrate and teamplay of Colin Nish, you have an attacking emphasis at Hibs that has more than compensated for the loss of Steven Fletcher.
It seems as though Hughes is on the look-out for more and a few sources have stated that the Hibs manager has expressed an interest in Celtic back-up striker Chris Killen.
Killen has struggled to make an impact at Celtic, he scored as many goals against Italy last summer as he has managed in official matches for the Glasgow club. And one of they goals was against a club that no longer exists.
However, Killen had an excellent half-season at Easter Road before injury curtailed his Hibee career and perhaps a move back to his former club may kick-start his career.
With a World Cup looming, Killen needs to be back playing regular football to give him a better chance of scoring on the World’s biggest stage.
Hibs fans, would you welcome Killen back?

A striker is far from top of the list of priorities at ER, but the return of Killen, with either Benji or Nish departing, would see Hibs’ options up front markedly improved (while he stayed off the treatment table at any rate).
Thanks basehibby, even a loan deal could be good for either parties.
There were rumours on a few Celtic sites that Hughes had met with Killen a few days back but we see that some of today’s rumour mills have Killen linked to Middlesbrough and ex-boss Strachan.
It is nowhere near panic stations time in the window and if Hibs needed Killen to beat irvine Meadow on Sat…they’d be in a terrible state…which of course, they are not.
There’s no rush at the moment is there?
When he left Easter Road, Killen stated that he had always seen Hibs as a stepping stone to a “big team” So, no thanks
