The closer to Hampden Hibs get, the higher the hopes of breaking their Scottish Cup hoodoo become!

Another Scottish Cup weekend so it is inevitable that Hibs are at home to opposition they should roll over. No Hibee would say that the Cup is lucky for them but the draw has been undeniably kind to Hibs so far.

Irvine Meadow, Montrose and now Ross County all at Easter Road has the Hibees dreaming of smashing a sunshine day on Mount Florida, never mind Leith.

The way it is going if Hibs get through, a tie against the winners of the all First Division tie appears to be the safe bet.

Will Hibs get through?

In all reality, yes they should and at the first time of asking. Football doesn’t always work like that though and Ross County would love to put a spanner in the works.

County are currently third in the SFL and still have an outside chance of winning the league. After Raith Rovers shocked Aberdeen, Hibs would do well to be on their guard.

The loss of the East Terrace sees Hibs kick off at 2pm again and with the egg chasing in Auld Reekie on Saturday night, this may be a bonus for some of the fans.

Not us though, rugby remains as relevant as tiddlywinks to the WeKnowSFA team. We try to be a clean living team but if a pub has the temerity to show the fifteen a side malarkey, you will see us chain smoking outside!

A Hibs defeat should see the Leith club withdraw from all future Scottish Cup competitions as they will never get a better chance to win the famous trophy again?

Will Hibs be in the semi-final?
