Hearts top six split fixtures
Overtaking the Hibs the aim

Hearts home win over Kilmarnock meant that they were guaranteed a place in the top six and the fixtures for the split can be announced.
There is nothing really to play for in the top half of the SPL, just the runner-up spot and its Champions League qualifier is of great interest. Even then, it’s more of a convoluted Europa League qualifier as opposed to a Champions League qualifier but it could be a minor money spinner with a game against a big side.
That said, the Jambos, as the team just making the top six are likely to have a spring in their step and a win at Easter Road would be a great boost after a long and trying season.
The Hearts fixtures are as follows:
Sunday 18th April, 12.30pm: Rangers (a)
Saturday 24th April, 3pm: Motherwell (h)
Saturday 1st May, kick-off TBC: Hibs (a)
Wednesday 5th May, 7.45pm: Dundee United (h)
Sunday 9th May, 1.30pm: Celtic (h)
A final day game against Celtic will give the Gorgie boys a chance to wave goodbye to the 2009/10 season and to engage in their usual “banter” with the travelling support.
Jambos, what are your hopes for the post split games?
