Hamilton smash and grab to sicken sorry Saints
A buddy shame for the Paisley team

When you are a point behind the team above you, grabbing an injury time winner is going to send your fans into raptures.
When you traipse off the field to learn that the bottom club succumbed to a late goal to lose at home, well, if the Hamilton Palace is not bouncing tonight, it never will be.
St Mirren have been struggling of late but with the League Cup final looming next week, you would have thought they would have been busting a gut to impress Gus McPherson. As it was, the players will build up to the Hampden showcase on a downer, knowing full well that they are involved in a massive relegation dogfight.
A 0-0 was not going to be a surprising scoreline and as the clock ticked on, it appeared that the status quo would remain above the SPL dropzone.
A headed winner by Flavio Paixo from a Brian Easton cross may well be the most vital Hamilton goal of the season and moved the Lanarkshire club 6 points off the bottom spot. More importantly for the upward looking Accies fans, they are now level with Kilmarnock and just four points behind Aberdeen.
The top six will be unobtainable for Hamilton but this win was vital to their survival hopes. With two teams behind and two teams in their sights above them, Hamilton may well feel they can get away from the dropzone and give their fans a slightly relaxed post-split run out.
As for the sorry Saints though, it could all end in disaster!
Will Hamilton keep themselves safe?
