Falkirk praying Kilmarnock keep losing
Bairns cant get the result to get off the bottom

Sometimes a psychological block affects teams and they just cant get the result they need. There is no doubt that Falkirk have shown great strength in adversity at times this season and have achieved some great results. However, it seems that every time they get the opportunity to get off the bottom of the league, they just cant do it.
Today, the Bairns were at home against a Hamilton side whose main objective was to look good for watching scouts but they couldn’t conjure up the win. As you would expect, Falkirk threw everything at the Hamilton defence, including the kitchen sink but this quite rightly picked up a booking for the player in question.
A first half strike from Marco Paixao was the difference between the two sides and Darren Barr’s effort that came off the post will haunt Falkirk fans for the week ahead. It is hard to criticise a team that gives everything in trying circumstances but you have to worry for Falkirk.
They knew that their two main relegation rivals were clashing in Paisley so at least one team would drop points giving even greater incentive to pick up something from their clash against Hamilton.
So it wasn’t to be and Steven Pressley needs to galvanise his team for their next match.
It’s another home game and its a HUGE game.
St Mirren, now four points ahead of Falkirk due to that win over Killie, come to Falkirk and an away win will see the Paisley side safe from relegation.
Falkirk know that their final match of the season is against Kilmarnock so if they can stay within three points of the Ayrshire side, all is not lost but that will be a game where the nerves will be shredded for everyone.
Can Pressley get his boys bouncing back next week?

i think it’s pretty unlikely we can survive now. We are battling and actually playing some decent stuff as well but too many defensive errors and a lack of any real goal scorer up front coupled with a tiny squad which means Prezzer’s can’t really change an awful lot is hitting us hard now. A consequence of the board trying to get us through this season on a first division budget.? Still, we hope, we pray, we continue to supoort our team through it all.
The final day shoot-out against Killie has to be the key – at worst, both sides need to ensure they are in with a chance of survival from that match.
