Dundee United v Rangers – Team News

by WeKnowSFA

Splish Splash they were having a laugh the last time out

There has been so much talk between these two teams since the last game was abandoned that you almost forget there is a football match at the heart of it.

And to be honest, a rather important football match at that.

If Rangers win, they go top of the SPL.

If Dundee United win, they go one point behind Rangers.

If its a draw, the green and white clad fans of Celtic and Hibs will be relatively happy.

So…plenty of stake at Tannadice.

The teams are:

Kovacevic Kenneth Dods Dixon
Conway Dillon Buaben Gomis
Cadamarteri Daly

WeKnowSFA - Glasgow Rangers

Alexander
Broadfoot Weir Bougherra Papac
Beasley Davis McCulloch Novo
Miller Boyd

Rangers were leading 1-0 at half-time when the previous match was abandoned but that all counts for nothing this evening.

It is reported that there is a boycott by Rangers fans for this evenings game in protest at United’s charging policy for this match but there will likely be over 1,000 Rangers fans in attendance.

A relatively poor showing for the Ibrox Loyal but given its the midweek prior to Christmas week, the fans had already paid full price and the game is live on Sky Sports, that is not a bad showing. It still dwarves what anyone apart from Celtic would bring to Tannadice for a televised midweek fixture.

As per usual, the time for talking is over, which may disappoint Kevin Thomson but everyone else is looking forward to the match.

Will Rangers end the evening back at the top of the SPL?
