Celtic’s Ki Sung Yueng – Youtube footage

Using Youtube footage to judge how good a new signing can be is fraught with difficulties but it is something most football fans will do.
Celtic today confirmed the signing of South Korean rising star Ki Sung Yueng and we have pulled together some of the Youtube clips for the player.
The goal was brilliant but a celebration like this will see the player with a booking in the SPL:
Celtic have been notably poor from free-kicks and penalties this season, so if this clip is anything to go by, Ki Sung Yueng could make a major improvement to the team:

The goalkeeper may have did better with this effort but the vision and ability to even attempt this effort indicates an agility and quick thinking on behalf of Ki Sung Yeung
Celtic fans will be wary of getting carried away on the back of Youtube footage but there will be a large level of hope that Ki Sung Yueng will be able to light up Celtic Park with goals of the calibre.

Youtube footage is one thing but there has been a lot of praise for this player and receiving The Asian Young Footballer of the Year award is definitely a positive aspect.
Scottish football needs all the great players it can get so lets hope Ki Sung Yueng settles in quickly.
The celts have unearthed a gem. Looks like he will fit right in to Mowbos style of play.
As you say, it’s hard to judge a player from the selective youtube library, it takes the intrepid temerity of a DR ‘journo’ to find the clip of a new Celtic player missing a sitter or falling on his @rse.
He looks like the real deal, but I’m sure he’ll be judged by the Faithful by his performances in the Hoops.

Ps. It looked to me like the ref was going to book Ki for his celebrations in the first clip, at one point he looks like he’s going for the card and at another point he looks to be going to hold Ki back for a word.
For those watching in the STV region, there will probably be extensive coverage of a missed penalty or bad tackle from the lad tonight
