Celtic need to be above par to beat Pars
Mowbray faced with more defensive restructuring

Yet again, Celtic will have to tinker with their defence as Andreas Hinkel and Jos Hooiveld are ruled out with the injuries they suffered at Rugby Park. Hinkel could well be replaced by Paul Caddis and Darren O’Dea should be available to come in for Hooiveld.
Lee Naylor is supposedly fit for action, news which won’t please many Celtic fans but loan singing Braafheid is back in the country and has trained with the squad. Whether Mowbray decides to change his defence even further is another matter.
As for the rest of the squad, you’d be as well sticking pins on a sheet to try and determine who will play. Shaun Maloney and Paddy McCourt are still on the injury list but Mowbray should have a full array of midfielders and strikers to choose from.
Will new captain Scott Brown be selected?
Will Robbie Keane be given his next chance to break his duck?
Will Kamara be played wide and will Aiden McGeady be given an official day off as opposed to the days off he has given himself in recent weeks?
It’s a tricky situation for Celtic. Anything other than a convincing win will earn them criticism and any draw or defeat will have the fans despairing and the knives being sharpened further for Tony Mowbray. Any win in the cup is the all-important thing but the PLC board may appreciate a draw.
After all, they still have one non-league match to provide for the season book punters.
Dunfermline will be going all out to ensure Tony Mowbray has another awful day at the office but have a number of players unavailable to them.
New signing Sam Morrow was not registered in time to play in this game and it is felt that Gary Mason is short of match fitness. This will please Celtic fans who already think there are too many masons in Scottish football.
Can the Pars shock Celtic?

Surely they will win today?
Whats the story with the ‘free’ non league game to season ticket holders then? And what happens if they don’t get another game in the Cup, do supporters get a refind or discount, or is it just tough titty?
Any Celtic fans who take results for granted these days probably get what they deserve.
The deal is usually – you get all your league matches and then two other matches.
One of these games will be a glamour pre-season friendly (if there are two Celtic Park games, then usually the midweek one is free.) This pre-season it was the Sunderland match.
After that, it is common for Celtic fans to get a domestic cup tie for free. the club decided not to make the Hearts League Cup match a freebie and have been drawn away in the Scottish Cup so far.
if the Morton game went to a replay, that would have been the free game, likewise, if the Dunfermline game goes to a replay, that will be a freebie.
If Celtic get through, they obviously have the one chance to get a home tie…but if it is a game against Rangers, no chance will it be a freebie.
There are murmurs that the club may arrange a ‘glamour’ friendly against the Green Brigades good chums of St Pauli for the free match.
So technically the season book prices were reduced!!!!!!!
Ah don’t you just love the way both sides screw the fans and their blind faith/loyalty (choose which ones appropriate lol )
In days gone by, my season ticket used to provide ALL matches at Ibrox, that was then changed to exclude the European games, that then changed to exclude all Scottish Cup games, that then changed to removing all home games with the exception of the first tie in the League Cup. now it’s League matches only. No pre season friendlies, nothing extra at all.
Price is £525 for the lower tier of the Govan stand and has been frozen at that price for the last three years and sold to me as if they are doing me a huge favour!!! Habit, blind loyalty and hoping to be the top dogs at the expense of our rivals is what keeps me going, certainly not what happens on the park.
im under 500£ for me and my 2 boys in the family section but i dont get celtic games obviously . they give me one ticket against celtic usually in the club deck so it isnt bad value for money and my boys love it.
