Are Celtic fans finally getting their Nike Monday?

3 in, more to follow?

How greedy are Celtic fans?

The club brought in three new players this morning but the fans are constantly hitting the F5 key in the hope of news about one or two new players who could yet still be on their way to Celtic Park!

The morning was broken by the loan signing of Diomansy Kamara from Fulham.

The clubs official site said the player has been signed until the end of the season with the club having the option to buy the player at the end of the loan deal.

Kamara has worked with Celtic boss Tony Mowbray before, at West Brom, and if he can recapture that form, the Celtic fans will be happy. He may not be the goal poacher that the club really needs but he is likely to add further options to the Celtic attacking line.

The Celtic left back spot has been a problem area for a number of years but the coming and going of Danny Fox has brought it back to the fore.

At least until the end of the season, Celtic will be looking to Edson Braafheid to fill the left back spot. The Dutch defender may not have had the best of times at Bayern Munich so far this season but with a World Cup looming, the SPL may offer the chance for Braafheid to force his way back into the squad.

It also gives Celtic fans a chance to use their “Heid, Heid, Heid, Heid” chant.

Lastly, and this may be more of a project than an immediate first team signing is Paul Slane from Motherwell. Motherwell appear to be quite bitter at losing the youngster and chairman John Boyle has unleashed a rather scathing critique of the player;

“Paul has been at the club for six years and we have financed his development and nurtured his talent, culminating in his senior debut at the end of last season. We have also stuck by and supported him over those years through both personal issues and injury and felt we were due some degree of loyalty for our efforts. Sadly he has chosen to refuse our offers and move on to Celtic.”

Angry stuff from Boyle although it is probably understandable, Boyle strikes us a man who has always kept an eye out for young talent.

So, Celtic fans, happy with three in?

No?

Okay, there are two more maybes still up in the air!
