Will Celtic get David O’Leary back in the bloody game?

by WeKnowSFA

Capello and Mourinho rate O’Leary, do you?

WeKnowSFA was involved in a discussion about the vacant Celtic managers post and after the usual candidates were floated, a few left-field names were thrown in to the mix.

The one that got the biggest amount of laughs was David O’Leary. No mean feat since Glen Hoddle, Glen Roeder, Glen Michaels Cavalcade and Hayden Panettiere were all discussed in relation to the post.

The thought of O’Leary being given the reigns at Celtic is truly terrifying but probably very unlikely….but saying that, until the new manager is unveiled, it is not an impossibility.

There are many reasons why appointing O’Leary would be a terrible decision but the biggest reason against David O’Leary is David O’Leary.

The funniest comment with regards to O’Leary relates back to an interview he carried out with the Daily Mail. Yes, the Tory voter who presided over a team with players charged with racial assault gave an interview to the Daily Mail, it’s hard to believe!

Anyways, O’Leary spoke of his desperation of getting back into the game and the desperation of others around to see him reunited with the game which saw him paid so handsomely.

Jose Mourinho supposedly recommended O’Leary for a post but our favourite quote from O’Leary relates to Fabio Capello. In a comment that seems too Alan Partridge-esque to be true, O’Leary said;

“I saw Capello at the soccer writers’ function the other week and he came down from the top table and said ‘when are you bloody getting back in the game’?”

Haha, that bloody game of football, yes, it misses you as well Edward from the League of Gentlemen!

Whilst O’Leary remains unemployed, Celtic fans should remain worried about who they may end up with next season.

This isn’t really much of an article about who will get the Celtic job, more an excuse to remind everyone how much of a rascal David O’Leary is and hopefully he will remain out of the bloody game of football for a long, long time.

Who would be your worst appointment for Celtic boss?

  • You B*S%A$D, how am I supposed to sleep now after you put this horrible thought in my head.

Hayden Panettiere? Had to google that one.. still none the wiser.

Haha, it was one of the more entertaining Sunday lunchtime conversations – remember, eternal vigilance is the price football fans have to pay to ensure O’Leary does not find a way to get back into this bloody game.

    Hayden Panettiere – she’s a Hero.

Well, she’s a small yet well formed actress who plays a character in the popular American TV show Heroes. It was decided that she would be a more popular choice for Celtic manager than David O’Leary.

It’s okay Dubcentral, we know you don’t watch a lot of TV.

Graeme P*nis is still looking for work, I believe.

I wouldn’t mind Tony Mowbray, but I’ll settle for Neil Lennon.

  • WeKnowSFA

Lennon has already shown more emotion in two games than Mowbray showed all season.

Not that this is necessarily the right or wrong way to go about things but you cant help but feel players respond to a reaction better than they would do to no reaction.

It also won’t take long until Lennon is sent off, he probably got away with it yesterday because the linesmen kept making terrible calls.

emotion, is that all ye need? lol

van gaal last night, didnt move off his seat hardly, his players done ok!!! lol

loads of very good managers show no emotion during games, some show loads, it means nothing except maybe the said manager is a bit eccentric, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

managers being sent off should not really affect any team unless the team are weak in the mind.

lennon will do just fine, he is up against absolutely nothing in the SPL, the septic family know this. he cant fail, mogga made mistakes, big mistakes, messing around primadonnas etc etc, the players just didnt try for him at all, the players should really be ashamed of themselves.
