Beasley blow for Rangers at Hibs
American star injured in training
DaMarcus Beasley has been in the form of his Rangers career of late but an injury has removed him from the starting line up at Easter Road.
It is a shame for the player and the Rangers fans but it does reinforce the fact that the player seems too lightweight for the Scottish game. It had been hoped that his recent sparkling form would be extend itself for a notable period, helping both club and player in their goals for the year ahead.
The player will no doubt be keen to bounce back as quickly as possible but this can often lead to players trying too hard and aggravating any injuries.
His place in the starting line-up is taken by Northern Irish international Kyle Lafferty. The striker/wide player will have a high level of confidence after his two goals against Motherwell last week but Lafferty’s form has been inconsistent at best.
Another change for Rangers comes with Lee McCulloch replacing the injured again Kevin Thomson.
With Celtic cutting the gap to one point with a rather unconvincing win over Hamilton, the Gers will be hoping to re-open a four point lead at the top of the SPL.
The team line-ups for the Easter Road clash are:

HIBS: Ma-Kalamby, Wotherspoon, Bamba, Hogg, Hanlon, Zemamma, Miller, Rankin, Riordan, Nish, Stokes

RANGERS: McGregor; Broadfoot, Bougherra, Weir, Papac; Lafferty, Davis, McCulloch, Novo; Miller, Boyd.
