About us

Okay, its hands up time, we know SFA.

The thing is though, we admit it, unlike the people in charge of the SFA and Scottish football.

Not a week goes by without one of the newspapers running a 6 page obituary on Scottish football or a 6 page pull-out on how to resuscitate Scottish football.

Lets not lie…Scottish football is in a bad way.

It is not dead though and a few changes could go a long way. And whilst we are admitting we know SFA, lets hope we can bring a few things out in the open…and have a laugh along the way.

There are three main categories we will try to cover:

SFA:
The national team, the pride of the nation and the backroom bunglers.

SPL:
All the news and action from the top flight:

Cups and the rest:
Our cup competitions and all the action from the SFL

So whether you are a Tartan Amy footsoldier, a lover of the big-two or a hater of the gruesome twosome, get to Know SFA.

  • We play the game way too fast and frantic in Scotland. The clubs from other leagues that we all enjoy don’t play like that until….they are in the last third and then the pace ups.

    Very true Tommy.

Do you think Scottish fans could adapt to a slower build up?

You know what its like, a back four will casually play a few passes amongst themselves and its fine….give it a few more passes and there will be screams of

“Get it up the park ya diddies” or similar.

This passion is likely to influence the way the game is played for a long time to come.

Paulo and Steff, thanks very much!

As we have pointed out on the site this morning, we’re not always going to get it right and we’re never going to win any awards for use of proper English.

However, we’ll try to keep putting out the articles and having digs at those who deserve it…whilst offering praise when it is justified.

Steff, had a look at your site – the picture on the Banter page? Is that the usual pre-match warmup? Was that picture taken at Cameron House by any chance?

    Cheers!

  • Great site guys u wer the first to let us know about the rearranged date for Celtic v Kilmarnock

  • WeKnowSFA

    Thanks Martyn.

As soon as we heard it was announced we tried to get it out as quickly as possible,

It was a flimsy post to be honest (no one needs to hear Kevin Kyle rumours) but the time and date was the most important thing.

Hope the re-arranged date suits you, WeKnowSFA has heard of a few people who may miss the game when it is played on the 20th.

Great Site!! The only site to give an unbiased point of view!! You guys deserve a lot of credit! Please Please Please keep up the great work!

  • John Fearon

Any idea which weekend Hoops last home game of 2010-11 will be?

  • WeKnowSFA

It’s impossible to say at the moment John.

The Scottish Cup final is scheduled for Saturday 21st of May.

This means the final league games will be Sunday 15th of May…but whether Celtic are at home is hard to say – they commonly arent.

Of course, this could all change if the SPL decide to extend the league campaign like they did back in 2007/08.
